During the past term, the Party Committee and People of Vinh Xuan commune have united to overcome difficulties and achieved many comprehensive results. Agricultural development is on the right track, many effective models have been replicated, reducing 128 poor households, currently there are 49 poor households and 141 near-poor households.
At the Congress, delegates also discussed, delivered opinions and contributed opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party and documents of the 12th Vinh Long Provincial Party Congress.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee focuses on 3 breakthroughs: Improving the quality of the staff, especially young staff, associated with digital transformation.
Develop socio-economic infrastructure, promote trade, services and small-scale industry. Develop sustainable agriculture, adapt to climate change, and increase the value of agricultural products.
The Congress agreed on 20 main targets on economy, culture - society, environment, national defense, security and building the political system. Notably, the average income target by 2030 is that the commune strives for an average income per capita of 125 million VND, and people's lives are increasingly improved.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the outstanding results of the past term, accordingly, the Vinh Xuan Commune Party Committee needs to clearly identify the key projects and tasks, ensuring effectiveness.
Mr. Hieu emphasized that the locality needs to focus on implementing 3 breakthroughs, developing the socio-economy, exploiting land advantages, human resources, converting agriculture, supporting startups and linking products.
"The need to build a Party, improve discipline for cadres, innovate working style, take care of social security, develop education, services, digital transformation and maintain political stability" Mr. Hieu emphasized this content.
The Congress announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, appointing the Executive Committee of the Vinh Xuan Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 31 comrades; appointing 11 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee. Appointing comrade Dang Thi Be Sau to hold the position of Secretary of the Vinh Xuan Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
