Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Lu Van Hung requested that Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units must determine the highest political determination in implementing the Politburo's policy on summarizing Resolution 18 and arranging and perfecting the organization and apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently; closely follow the contents of the Central and Provincial Party Committee's plans to carry out assigned tasks to ensure progress and quality.
Regarding the group of plans for arrangement according to the Central's orientation, the Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee and the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee to preside over and prepare projects for implementation immediately after the Central Committee approves the arrangement plans at the Central level.Regarding the group of streamlining plans under the province's authority, the Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee requested that Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, and units focus on developing and proposing plans to streamline the internal apparatus in conjunction with the structure and rearrangement of the staff in the direction of reducing at least 15% to 20% of internal units.
The Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee also requested to maximize the role of the Provincial Steering Committee. The members of the Steering Committee need to determine high political determination, make great efforts, and set an example of strong and decisive direction for the departments, ministries, branches, sectors, and localities assigned to them. The implementation process needs to be closely monitored to detect and replicate good and effective practices; commend units and localities with good practices; promptly correct and rectify organizations and individuals who lack responsibility in organizing implementation, promptly handle arising issues, and ensure implementation in accordance with the set goals, requirements, and progress.
