On the afternoon of December 11, the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently" (referred to as the Steering Committee) held a meeting to deploy documents in preparation for summarizing the Resolution.
At the meeting, Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Lu Van Hung emphasized: The arrangement and merger of some departments, branches, agencies and units of the province is always based on the spirit of proactively developing projects, but still waiting for the merger and arrangement from the Central level, so as not to cause disruption. The province will implement step by step to suit local realities, the arrangement must be to make the apparatus of agencies and units truly streamlined and effective. The names of agencies and units after the merger are also based on the Central level.
The Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee also requested the members of the Steering Committee to absorb the comments at the conference; continue to review and complete the project to ensure the principles are in accordance with the Central's direction; update documents of the Central ministries and branches to proactively implement, ensure the streamlining of the apparatus, streamlining of personnel but operating more effectively. At the same time, step up propaganda, mobilization, do a good job of ideological work; ensure policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees affected by the process of streamlining the apparatus.
At the conference, Head of the Organizing Committee of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Thuy announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the establishment of a Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution 18 consisting of 18 members, with the Provincial Party Committee Secretary as Head of the Steering Committee. At the same time, he presented a summary of the draft report on the 7 years of implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW and approved the Plan of the Provincial Steering Committee on the plan to streamline the organization of the political system.
Accordingly, the plan to reorganize the provincial apparatus is built on the principle of perspective and meets the requirements of strictly implementing the policies, regulations and orientations of the Central Government and the Central Steering Committee on reorganizing the apparatus to ensure unified management by sector and field from the Central Government to localities and bases; based on the organizational structure and practical operations of agencies and units in the province to propose arrangements suitable to the requirements and tasks in the new period.
