On the afternoon of June 20, within the framework of the National Press Association in 2025, the closing session of the "National Press Forum 2025" was held at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).
In his closing speech, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - highly appreciated the enthusiasm, enthusiasm and great enthusiasm of nearly 70 speakers for the 2025 National Press Forum.
During the extremely busy days in the series of events 100 years of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press, speakers still try to arrange each precious period as carefully as possible to take care of each discussion session, being meticulous and concerned from the stage of building the theme, script to the way of organizing and selecting guests.
"I understand that there are scripts in the discussion that have been edited until the last minute, the presentations and slides are continuously updated just a few hours before taking place, some speakers have to have a next working trip right after the discussion session ends...
In addition, there was also the participation with a very high sense of responsibility, the interest and special attention of hundreds of delegates who are journalists, leaders of press agencies, press managers, journalists, journalism students and even the public who love journalism" - Mr. Le Quoc Minh said.
All have brought to the 2025 National Press Forum 12 truly quality sessions, especially 10 thematic discussion sessions organized methodically and scientifically, with very high-level topics and rich content, attracting great attention from the press and the public.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared about the discussion sessions. At the first session with the theme "Vietnamese journalism in the new era: Vision of creating development space", delegates and experts discussed in depth about challenges, opportunities as well as key solutions for sustainable development of Vietnamese journalism.
The responsibility placed on journalists today is huge: Both firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation and flexibly adapting to the trend of global digitalization. From that recognition, at the discussion session, speakers also focused on clarifying the transformation and movement of global journalism, practice and challenges of journalism.
In particular, the 10th discussion session of the Forum with the hot topic "Resolution 18 and the requirement to innovate press personnel" has attracted the public and professional people. Resolution 18, with the goal of streamlining the political system, requires the press to be "more compact" to "more strong".
However, according to him, streamlining is not just about merging, reducing the number or cutting down on personnel. That is also the story of streamlining to help optimize resources, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
"This is an opportunity for press agencies to innovate the organizational model, build a gathering hall, modernize the working process... And this is also the time for training institutions to innovate the method of training students from school" - Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared.
