On the afternoon of June 24, the Government, the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Vietnam Women's Union organized a signing ceremony for a coordination program on propaganda, mobilization, and supervision of production and business of quality and safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products, contributing to strengthening the protection, care, improvement of people's health and sustainable development in the period 2026-2030.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized that for many years, the issue of food safety (FS) has always received the attention, leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister, the entire political system and the entire people.
The Government has issued many policies, programs, and plans to ensure quality and food safety to serve domestic consumption and export.
On behalf of the Government, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Farmers' Union, and the Vietnam Women's Union for jointly implementing many coordination programs with a focus on propaganda, mobilization, and supervision of food safety implementation for community health.
The Government and the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Vietnam Women's Union have successfully organized the implementation of 2 coordination programs for the period 2017-2020 and 2021-2025. Through coordination programs, many new ways of doing things, effective models in food production and business of farmers and women's union members have been replicated, with thousands of high-quality and safe OCOP products.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Government pays special attention to improving quality and ensuring food safety, considering this as an urgent and strategic solution to improve the effectiveness of activities to care for, protect, and improve people's health, considering people's lives and health as the top priority, and taking it as a basis and measure of the value of implementing socio-economic development goals and sustainable growth.
Ensuring food safety is protecting the health of the people, the community and also protecting the very important agricultural economy of the country," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested state agencies, levels, and sectors, according to their functions and tasks, to continue to actively, proactively, and practically coordinate closely with the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels to implement this program in a more creative, effective, and practical way.
The Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Vietnam Women's Union need to continue to innovate in content and implementation methods, strongly shifting the method of "propaganda and traditional mobilization" to "leading, supporting, and accompanying farmers".
Strengthen "responsive support", "output support", ensure "green - clean - traceable", build brands, and "passports" for agricultural products.
