On the afternoon of June 29, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the 5th Conference of the National Assembly Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Regarding tasks for the last 6 months of the year, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the National Assembly Party Committee to focus on effectively implementing 5 key task groups:
First, focus highly on timely institutionalizing the Party's guidelines after the 3rd Plenum of the 14th Central Committee. This is a key task, comrades need to closely follow to continue improving the quality of legislative work, appraisal, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
Second, accelerate the progress of building projects to submit to competent authorities; at the same time, do well in ideological and political work, organizational work, inspection work and discipline work throughout the Party Committee; pay attention to leading mass organizations in agencies in accordance with assigned functions and tasks.
Third, continue to strengthen the professional work of the Ethnic Council and Committees.
Fourth, strengthen solidarity and unity in Party cells, directly affiliated Party committees and the National Assembly Party Committee. In a unified body like the National Assembly House, the spirit of solidarity, determination and decisiveness in action is a very important requirement to create specific products, successfully complete tasks before the Party and people and contribute to the development of the country.
Fifth, strengthen coordination with agencies outside the National Assembly. The National Assembly Party Committee needs to proactively coordinate with Party committees directly under the Central Government, especially the Party Committee of the Government Office, Party committees of central agencies and the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to exchange experiences and improve the quality of task implementation.
Regarding the completion of the Working Regulations, through comments at the conference, the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that it must be built in the direction that it is not only a document regulating procedures but must truly become a operating framework of the Party Committee in the new model.
It is necessary to clearly define authority, clearly define responsibilities, clearly define assignments, clearly define coordination mechanisms, clearly define inspections; ensure the principle of democratic centralism, promote collective wisdom, and uphold individual responsibility, especially the responsibility of the head.
The spirit is to coordinate not to increase procedures but to smooth leadership, improve the quality of policy decisions, and promptly handle issues arising from practice; coordinate to directly serve law-making, supervision, and decision-making on important issues of the country, people's aspirations, voter contact, and activities of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels.
Noting that there is only about a month left until the Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly takes place, the National Assembly Chairman requested that right now it is necessary to proactively build a coordination mechanism between the National Assembly Party Committee and the Government Party Committee; agree on the working time and content to be discussed to prepare carefully, ensuring the quality and progress of the contents submitted to the National Assembly.
