From March 1st to the afternoon of March 3rd, the Early Election Team of Naval Region 2 completed the organization of voting for officers and soldiers at DK1 platforms, on-duty ships and fishermen fishing in the Ba Ke Cluster area - one of the furthest points on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland.
The working delegation led by Colonel Le Hong Quang - Deputy Head of the Political Department of Naval Region 2, Head of the Early Election Team, directly directed the preparation work.
At the offshore platforms, the celebration, listing of voters, biographies and action programs of candidates, issuing voter cards, checking ballot boxes... are carried out fully and in accordance with regulations.

In the middle of the ocean, the polling station is decorated solemnly and neatly. Voters carefully study the list of candidates, exchange carefully before voting. The atmosphere of the election day is serious, democratic, ensuring compliance with the law, no different from the mainland.
On the mission, the Election Team used Truong Sa 04 ship as the center to organize elections for voters on duty ships and fishermen.
Working groups deploy mobile boats, approach each vehicle, guide voters to complete procedures, then take them to ships to exercise citizen rights. Although organized at sea, the election process is still implemented tightly, objectively and absolutely safely.
Notably, fishing vessel QNg 96435 TS of fishermen in Quang Ngai province operating in the area was also facilitated to participate in the vote.
The election team proactively contacted ship owners, propagated the meaning of the election; reviewed and compiled lists of itinerant voters; compared citizen identification cards, and issued voter cards in accordance with regulations.
The fishermen were welcomed to Truong Sa 04 ship to directly vote, ensuring that all eligible citizens are fully entitled to their rights and obligations.
Whether on offshore platforms in the middle of the sea, on combat-ready ships or on livelihood ships in remote fishing grounds, each ballot put into the ballot box shows a sense of responsibility, belief and attachment to the mainland.
Ba Ke shoal is about 580km (313 nautical miles) northwest of Vung Tau coast. There are currently 3 DK1/9, DK1/20 and DK1/21 offshore platforms managed by DK1 Battalion, Naval Region 2.
In harsh storm conditions, officers, soldiers and fishermen still stick to their positions day and night, contributing to maintaining sea and island sovereignty.
The working delegation continued its voyage to other DK1 rigs, contributing to the overall success of the great people's festival.
