Implementing the working program at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on November 28, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court explained and accepted the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the proposal to appoint judges of the Supreme People's Court.
The person proposed to be appointed as Judge of the Supreme People's Court is Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
The National Assembly approved the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of Supreme People's Court Judges by secret ballot. The counting committee reported the results of the vote counting.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly submitted to the National Assembly a draft Resolution approving the proposal to appoint Supreme People's Court Judges and discussed this content.
At the meeting, with the majority of delegates voting in favor, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, as Judge of the Supreme People's Court.
New Supreme People's Court Judge Nguyen Quoc Doan was born on August 26, 1975; hometown is Khanh Nhac commune, Yen Khanh district, Ninh Binh province. He has a Doctorate of Law, Master of Law, Bachelor of Law; Senior in political theory.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Before 2018, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan was Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command (Ministry of Public Security). After that, he worked in Thua Thien Hue province for nearly 3 years and held the positions of: Director of the Provincial Police (from November 2018), Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (from July 2020) and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (from November 2020).
On July 1, 2021, the Politburo appointed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, 2020-2025.
