At the conference, the Prime Minister's decision approving the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Secretary of Thot Not District Party Committee was announced.
At the same time, the decision of the Can Tho City Party Committee was announced on the transfer and assignment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep to stop participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and stop holding the position of Secretary of the Thot Not District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term to transfer to the City People's Committee, holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
In her acceptance speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep expressed her sincere thanks to the city leaders and former city leaders of all periods who have always cared, helped and created favorable conditions for her to successfully complete the assigned tasks in the past time.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep stated that she will make every effort to quickly approach the new job, inherit the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders; join hands with the Party Executive Committee and members of the City People's Committee to build the Can Tho City government to be increasingly strong, operate effectively, efficiently, innovate and develop.
Previously, on December 9, 2024, the People's Council of Can Tho City, term X, 2021-2026, held the 18th session (regular session at the end of 2024) to review personnel work and some contents under its authority. At this session, delegates voted to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City.
With more than 96% of the delegates' votes in agreement, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Secretary of Thot Not District Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep (born in 1974, hometown Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province), has a BA in English, Bachelor of Law, and Senior in Politics.
Before holding the position of Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Diep was a specialist of Can Tho City People's Committee Office; Deputy Head of the Department of Culture - Internal Affairs, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs - Legislation, Can Tho City People's Committee Office; Deputy Chief of Office of Can Tho City People's Committee; Deputy Chief Inspector of Can Tho City; Director of Can Tho Department of Foreign Affairs; Secretary of Thot Not District Party Committee.
