On the afternoon of October 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee held a conference to issue a resolution on leadership in implementing tasks in the fourth quarter of 2025.
At the conference, Mr. Dinh Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee, announced the Decision of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to join the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang was born in 1967, from Trang Bang town (formerly) in Tay Ninh province; has a Master's degree in Public Administration, Mechanical Engineering.
At the end of August 2025, Mr. Tran Luu Quang was transferred and assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, replacing Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - who was assigned to be a Standing Member of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Subcommittee.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang is also currently the Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Ho Chi Minh City.
Reporting at the conference, Major General Vu Van Dien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command said that in the third quarter of 2025, the Party Committee and Command of Ho Chi Minh City, along with Party committees, political committees, political officers, and unit commanders, have thoroughly grasped and comprehensively implemented the resolutions, directives, and plans of superiors.
The city's armed forces strictly implement combat readiness, maintain stability in the area, and successfully organize the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. Party work and political work have been implemented methodically, with focus and key points; logistics, technical, financial and other aspects have all achieved positive results.
