On May 23, Mr. Do Van Chien, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (Fatherland Front), Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front attended the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam -Russia Friendship Association (May 23, 1950 - 23.5.2025) to celebrate 75 years of establishing Vietnam -Russia (January 30, 1950 - 30.2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation has a long history, has been nurtured by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries, has been tested over time to affirm the good values in history and is an important premise for a brighter future.

Mr. Do Van Chien was pleased to see that in recent years, the Vietnam - Russia relationship has had new developments. Group exchanges and contacts at all levels, especially at the highest level, are maintained regularly on all channels. Many cooperation mechanisms have been established in all fields: Continuously developing economy, defense, security, science, technology, culture, education, sports and people-to-people exchanges are constantly expanded, consolidated and developed.

Also according to Mr. Do Van Chien, over the years, the Vietnam -Russia Friendship Association has always followed the directions and guidelines of the Party and the State on the people's external relations, with many innovations in content, form of operation and focusing on improving practicality and efficiency in the work. The important results that the Vietnam - Russian Friendship Association has achieved with the foreign affairs and the State diplomacy deepen the solidarity and traditional friendship, intimate cohesion between the people of the two countries of Vietnam and Russia.

Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that in the coming time, the Vietnam -Russia Friendship Association at central, local and establishments should be more proactive to both strengthen friendships with existing partners, to build and expand friendships with new partners, create a network of diverse friends and partners; take advantage of the highest support, coordination and cooperation from people's organizations and individuals; Expanding international relations, focusing on the younger generation, press - media, scholars and Russian businessmen. It is necessary to consider diversifying partners both in width and depth as a key task of the Association in the near future.

Along with that, the association needs to focus on attracting members, especially young members, youth, students, intellectuals, and businessmen to participate in Vietnam - Russia people's foreign affairs activities; increase creativity, innovate methods and fields of activity to be able to widely reach the target audience, flexibly implement friendly and cooperative exchanges, establish and implement rich, diverse, direct and effective cooperation channels in many specific areas where Vietnam - Russia people's foreign affairs have strengths such as economic - trade cooperation, literature - art, science - technology, education - training, tourism, sports, etc. Through that, it helps to increase trust and mutual understanding between the two countries, while supplementing cooperation contents, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Do Van Chien presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association for "multiple achievements in the foreign affairs activities of the people of Vietnam - Russian Federation, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland".
