At the first session, the 18th Cao Bang Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031, delegates elected the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Heads of Boards of the Provincial People's Council.
After listening to the personnel introduction reports, the Provincial People's Council conducted a vote to elect the titles according to regulations.
As a result, Mr. Phan Thang An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the 18th Cao Bang Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031 with an absolute number of votes, reaching 100% of the delegates present in favor. Immediately after that, the Provincial People's Council passed a resolution confirming the election results.
Along with that, Mr. La Hoai Nam and Mr. Be Minh Duc were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Council of the XVIII term, 2026-2031, with 100% of delegates present in favor. The Provincial People's Council also passed a resolution confirming the results of the election of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council.
For the Boards of the Provincial People's Council, 100% of delegates unanimously elected Mr. Duong Hung Dung to continue to hold the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee; La Van Hong to continue to hold the position of Head of the Culture - Society Committee; Nong Van Tuan to continue to hold the position of Head of the Legal Affairs Committee; Ban Quy Son to continue to hold the position of Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee for the term 2026 - 2031.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Phan Thang An - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence of the Provincial Party Committee, provincial leaders and delegates of the Provincial People's Council.
He emphasized that in the context of Cao Bang facing many opportunities and challenges, the 18th Provincial People's Council needs to continue to strongly innovate, improve the quality of policies, and promulgate appropriate mechanisms and policies to create development momentum.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council needs to promote the spirit of proactiveness, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations; promptly concretize the Party's guidelines into practical policies; strengthen supervision, ensure that guidelines and policies are implemented effectively, meeting development requirements and people's aspirations.
