On the afternoon of March 4, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien chaired a conference to announce decisions on personnel work. At the conference, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Tran Quang Huy announced the decision on the appointment of civil servants and leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Appointed Mr. Tran Huu Linh to the position of Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department.
Appointed Mr. Ta Hoang Linh to the position of Director of the Department of Foreign Market Development.
Appointed Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Giang to the position of Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Public Upgrade.
Appointed Mr. Pham Nguyen Hung to the position of Director of the Electricity Department.
Appointed Mr. Tran Viet Hoa to the position of Director of the Department of Industry.
At the same time, the decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade was announced on the assignment of Mr. To Xuan Bao to the position of Chief of the Party Committee's Office.
Previously, the Prime Minister signed and issued Decree No. 40/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Decree clearly states that 19 units assisting the Minister of Industry and Trade in performing state management functions include: Department of Planning, Finance and Enterprise Management; Department of Foreign Market Development; Department of Multilateral Trade Policy; Department of Oil and Gas and Coal; Department of Organization and Personnel; Department of Legal Affairs; Ministry Inspectorate; Ministry Office; National Competition Commission; Department of Domestic Market Management and Development; Department of Electricity; Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Encouragement; Department of Industry; Department of Trade Protection; Department of Trade Promotion; Department of Import-Export; Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Engineering; Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Department of Chemicals.
3 public service units serving the function of state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade include: Institute for Strategy and Policy Research on Industry and Trade; Industry and Trade Newspaper; Industry and Trade Magazine.
On February 28, the Minister of Industry and Trade also signed decisions regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of units under the Ministry. On the morning of March 3, the Minister chaired the first meeting of the working group associated with the new organizational structure according to Decree 40.
