On June 29, in Hai Phong, Hai Phong City Police held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the City Police on organization and personnel work.
At the ceremony, representatives of the City Police announced the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on merging the Hai Duong Provincial Police and affiliated organizations under the Hai Phong City Police.
At the same time, the Decision to appoint Colonel Bui Quang Binh, former Director of Hai Duong Provincial Police, to the position of Director of Hai Phong City Police was announced.
Also on this occasion, the Minister of Public Security decided to appoint Colonels: Bui Manh Hung, Pham Chi Hieu, Le Duc Thanh, Nguyen Duc Thin, Pham Viet Dung, Bui Trung Thanh and Le Trung Son to the position of Deputy Directors of Hai Phong City Police.
Along with that, the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of commune-level police in the city were announced. Accordingly, Hai Phong City Police currently has 114 commune-level police units, including 45 ward police, 67 commune police and 2 special police in Cat Hai and Bach Long Vy.
The Minister of Public Security and the Director of the City Police have also decided to transfer and appoint: 29 Department Heads, 195 Deputy Department Heads, 160 Team Leaders, 500 Deputy Team Leaders, 114 Commune-level Police Heads, 4 Station Heads and 12 Deputy Station Heads.
Also this week, Vinh Long Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work. Accordingly, the Minister of Public Security decided to promote the rank from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel for Mr. Son Chi Hung - Deputy Director.
Appointed Colonel Vo Cong Binh - Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police - as Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency.
Appointed Colonel Tra Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police - as Head of the Criminal Enforcement Agency, Head of the Detention and Temporary Detention Management Agency, Provincial Police.
On June 29, Can Tho City Police held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of Can Tho City Police (new) on organization and officers.
Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police (new) - presented the appointment decisions to Deputy Directors including Colonels Bui Duc An, Huynh Hoai Han, Nguyen Thanh Trang, Nguyen Van Thang, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vu Thanh Thuc, Le Duc Bay, Tran Hoang Do and Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Tung An.
In particular, Colonel Ha Bao Huy - Deputy Director of the City Police - is on secondment, holding the position of Deputy Head of the Can Tho City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee.
According to the decision, from July 1, 2025, the new Can Tho City Police will have 29 department-level units, 103 commune-level police (including 31 ward police and 72 commune police) and 2 industrial park police stations.
