Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Deputy Minister of National Defense Hoang Xuan Chien shared the pain and loss of the people of Lang Nu, Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen, Lao Cai) after the storm and flood.
At the same time, Mr. Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and determination of the units and localities that completed all 40 houses for the people of Lang Nu after 68 days and nights of construction.
Deputy Minister of National Defense Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that the new resettlement area will help people stabilize their lives and rebuild their lives after losses. He hoped that the small gifts would help people have a more complete and warm Tet holiday.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee said: "The storm and flood have caused great damage to Lao Cai in terms of both human lives and infrastructure. However, with the consensus and joint efforts of the people, the support of philanthropists, and especially the 12th Army Corps (Ministry of National Defense), new, spacious houses in accordance with the culture have gradually taken shape."
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee believes that with their efforts and spirit of overcoming difficulties, the people of Lang Nu will soon have a new, more stable and developed life in their new place.
In the joy of receiving gifts and preparing to welcome a new house, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (Lang Nu village) was moved: "We are very grateful to the authorities at all levels and benefactors for helping people in the most difficult time. In the near future, people will have new, spacious houses to celebrate Tet. Hopefully, these houses will bring a brighter new beginning for the people."
