The Ministry of National Defense continues to send 3 helicopters to carry working groups and relief goods to people in flooded areas in Dien Bien.

On the morning of August 3, the Ministry of National Defense deployed 2 aircraft of the Air Defense - Air Force and 1 aircraft of the 18th Corps to serve the working group including: Rescue - Relief Department/Ministry of General Staff ( Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee), 108 Central Military Hospital, Department of Military Medicine, Vietnam National Defense Television, People's Army Newspaper and 4 tons of relief goods.

Relief goods include: Essential necessities and medical supplies... The relief team visited, encouraged, and provided relief to people and forces on duty to overcome the consequences of rain, floods, and landslides in Dien Bien province.

3 aircraft took off at Gia Lam airport (Air Force Brigade 918/Air Defense - Air Force) to Dien Bien province at the following locations: Na Son Stadium; Hang underground Stadium, Tia Dinh Commune, Dien Bien Province.

In recent days, the Ministry of National Defense has mobilized 1,843 officers and soldiers (Body: 888 people; Militia: 945 people) to carry out the task of searching for missing people and overcoming the consequences of rain and floods, stabilizing the lives of people in Dien Bien and Son La provinces.

In the face of floods in recent days in the midland and mountainous provinces of the North, the Ministry of National Defense has mobilized many aircraft to participate in rescue work, support flood victims.

On the morning of August 2, the Ministry of National Defense deployed a plane to transport relief goods to Dien Bien province.

The Department of Rescue - Rescue ( Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee) presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies and units to prepare a plane to transport 2 tons, including: Dried rice and instant noodles from Gia Lam airport (Air Force Brigade 918/Air Force - Air Force) to Dien Bien province at the locations: Na Son Stadium; Hang Li village football field, Tia Dinh commune and ready to fly relief goods to villages in 5 communes of Tia Dinh, Xa Dung, Muong Luan, Na Son, Phinh Giang in Dien Bien province.

On the afternoon of August 1, the Ministry of National Defense dispatched a plane from the 18th Corps to rescue 8 people trapped in Anh Trung village, Muong Hung commune due to floods.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
