On August 29, the Ministry of National Defense organized the installation of signs for clusters of military experts from the Soviet Union and Cuba; placed a stone symbolizing the cluster of military experts from China and international soldiers from Laos and Cambodia at the Vietnam Military History Museum (Hanoi).
The cluster of works has profound historical, cultural and political values, vividly demonstrating the pure, loyal and affectionate international solidarity; demonstrating the great sacrifice and contributions of international friends to the cause of national liberation, national reunification and national defense of Vietnam.
The scale includes 5 symbolic clusters of countries: Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Laos and Cambodia. Each statue cluster includes a group of 3 to 5 whole- body statues; about 3m high (including a 4m x 4m square statue pedestal, nearly 1m high), made of red copper.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Deputy Minister of National Defense - emphasized: Throughout the history of the resistance war for national independence and national reunification, the Vietnamese people have always received the wholehearted, loyal, loyal and effective help of countries and international friends, especially China, the Soviet Union, Cuba, Laos, and Cambodia - comrades and friends who have not wavered their efforts, wealth and blood for Vietnam's independence and peace.
"That support is not only a huge material resource, but also an invaluable source of spiritual encouragement, contributing to the great victory of the Vietnamese revolution. In each battle, each route, each glorious history of the Vietnam People's Army, there is always a strong imprint of noble international affection" - Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said.
Senior General Hoang Xuan Chien said that, with the tradition of the Vietnamese people of "When drinking water, remember its source"; implementing the Party and State's policy on building a symbolic area to recognize the valuable help of countries in Vietnam's resistance wars, the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense has directed agencies and units to urgently deploy the construction of an International Symbol of Solidarity, Friendship and gratitude at the Outdoor Exhibition Space of the Vietnam Military History Museum.
This is a work of profound historical, cultural and political value, a vivid symbol of the spirit of pure international solidarity, loyalty and affection; at the same time, it is a testament to the great sacrifice and dedication of international friends to the cause of national liberation, national reunification and national defense of Vietnam.
This will be a red address to propagate and educate the current and future generations to better understand the power of noble international solidarity, of "compromising love and suffering" for independence, freedom, peace, friendship and also a message.
