At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the provincial-level police apparatus; the decision of the Minister of Public Security to transfer the status quo of the provincial-level police force; at the same time, announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work for provincial-level police leaders.
In which, Minister Luong Tam Quang presented the decision to 23 local police directors after the merger and 11 local police directors remained.
The Minister of Public Security emphasized that in just 3 days, the two-level local government model will officially come into operation, the task of arranging the police organization at the provincial and commune levels and the task of ensuring security and order is being dat on the table very urgently, with very high requirements, the nature of "running and lining up at the same time".
General Luong Tam Quang requested 34 police directors of localities to deploy immediate work, immediate tasks and strategic ones.
Local police directors are required to ensure absolute security and safety, not to let any negligence occur even in the smallest process of merging and consolidating provincial-level administrative units, not organizing district-level administrative units and reorganizing commune-level administrative units.
