On March 1st, in Hung Loc commune, Hue City, Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and National Assembly deputy candidates from Election Unit No. 4 (Hue City) deployed voter contact and listened to people's opinions before the election day.
According to published information, the candidates include: Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Member of the Politburo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Le Thi Nguyen Chinh (teacher of Huong Huu Primary School); Mr. Nguyen Tien Nam (Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City); Ms. Tran Thi Phuong (Vice Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Vinh Loc Commune).

At the conference, candidates presented action programs if they are trusted by voters to be elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term. The key content is to maintain close and regular contact with voters; listen to and truthfully reflect opinions and recommendations of the people to the National Assembly and functional agencies; participate in building and perfecting the legal system; decide on important issues of the country and exercise supreme supervisory power.
The candidates also emphasized the direction of socio-economic development of Hue City associated with heritage preservation, preserving cultural identity; paying attention to urban infrastructure, transportation, social security and sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Speaking at the meeting, Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung expressed his honor to run for election in his homeland. He affirmed that he will continue to train and improve his capacity, successfully fulfill his role as a National Assembly deputy; representing the will and aspirations of voters nationwide in general and voters of Hue City in particular in important policies.
Many voters highly appreciate the action program of the candidates, expecting those elected to truly be a bridge between the people and the National Assembly, contributing to building Hue City to develop to the level of a centrally-run city.
On the same day, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City also organized a meeting with voters with candidates for the 16th National Assembly in Loc An commune in a direct form.
According to the plan, Hue City will establish 4 electoral units for National Assembly deputies. After the negotiation steps, the official list has 17 candidates, of which 3 are introduced by the Central Government. Voters throughout the city will elect 9 National Assembly deputies for the next term.
