Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1623/QD-TTg dated December 21, 2024 to supplement and strengthen the members of the Central Steering Committee to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide (Steering Committee).
According to the decision, the members of the Central Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide are supplemented and strengthened as follows:
1. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Home Affairs, participated in the Steering Committee.
2. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Minister of Finance, joined the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Ho Duc Phoc.
3. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of Vietnam Television, joined the Steering Committee, replacing Mr. Le Ngoc Quang.
The Central Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide is an inter-sectoral coordination organization whose function is to assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks related to the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
The Steering Committee has the following duties and powers: Advising and proposing specific and effective plans, solutions and methods to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by December 31, 2025, including 3 programs: Housing support for people with revolutionary contributions; Housing support according to national target programs; Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people.
At the same time, direct relevant ministries, agencies and localities to closely coordinate and focus on promptly resolving difficulties and problems during the implementation process.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is the standing agency of the Steering Committee.
