Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has just signed Decision No. 1482/QD-TTg dated July 4, 2025 on completing the personnel of the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee in the Intergovernmental Committee on bilateral cooperation between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (abbreviated as the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Committee).
Accordingly, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang is the Chairman of the Committee.
The Vice Chairman of the Committee is Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong.
Secretary of the Committee: at the Department/Department of the Ministry of Finance.
Committee members: Deputy Ministers or Department levels of ministries and agencies: Government Office, Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Public Security, Education and Training, Industry and Trade, Construction, Agriculture and Environment; other members are decided by the Chairman of the Committee on the basis of the specific content of each Session of the Intergovernmental Committee.
The Ministry of Finance is the agency presiding over the Committee.
The members of the Committee work on a part-time basis, taking personal responsibility for assigned areas of work and complying with the provisions of Decision No. 30/2016/QD-TTg dated July 28, 2016 of the Prime Minister on the establishment, organization and operation of the Vietnam Subcommittee in Intergovernmental and Foreign Affairs Committees.
