On July 16, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to review the work of the Investigation Police in the first 6 months of 2025. General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security attended and directed the Conference.
According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, in his opening speech and dissemination of some contents, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that this is the first in-depth conference of the Ministry of Public Security on crime prevention and control (PCTP) taking place right after the event of implementing the 2-level local government model in 34 localities across the country; in which the post-arranged police force was arranged into 34 provincial police and 3,319 commune-level police. The conference is very important to unify the thinking, awareness, and tasks of food safety and hygiene in the new context.
Orienting on a number of specific working tasks, the Minister emphasized that it is necessary to determine the most fundamental solution to reduce crime, reduce pressure in investigation work, and create strong changes in crime prevention.
Currently, the Commune-level Police are deployed basically to be able to solve the security and order situation (ANTT) in the locality, in addition to having forces to participate in protecting ANTT at the grassroots level.
In the context of the Party Committee and People's Committee of communes being decentralized their authority very strongly, along with regular guidance and coordination of the Provincial Police and professional departments according to the force system, we have enough basis, conditions and key factors to improve the quality and effectiveness of social prevention and professional prevention; innovate thinking and methods to mobilize the participation of the political system and the entire population, strengthen the close coordination between forces to carry out specific work goals, including crime prevention.
