On July 16, a ceremony was held in Hanoi to hand over the right to represent the owner of the state capital at FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) from the State Capital Investment and Trading Corporation (SCIC) to the Ministry of Public Security.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam - Deputy Minister of Public Security and Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan co-chaired the ceremony.

The receipt of the right to represent the state capital owner at FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security is carried out in accordance with the policy of the Party and State on restructuring and improving the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, in order to increase the potential of the Ministry of Public Security. This includes the implementation of requirements for national security protection tasks, ensuring social order and safety, especially in ensuring network security, information security and specialized telecommunications in the new situation.
Speaking at the ceremony, SCIC General Director Nguyen Quoc Huy emphasized the importance of transferring the right to represent the state capital owner at FPT Telecom from SCIC to the Ministry of Public Security.
SCIC General Director affirmed that this is a strategic policy to ensure data security and national digital sovereignty security in the new era. At the same time, he expressed his confidence that the Ministry of Public Security will continue to promote its potential and create more favorable conditions for FPT Telecom to continue to grow, playing an important role in Project 06 on building a digital government, digital society and national data platforms.
On the side of the Ministry of Public Security, Major General Pham Truong Giang - Director of the Department of Planning and Finance - said that the functional units under the Ministry will continue to coordinate with relevant units to complete the transfer procedures, ensuring the process of receiving, organizing and operating the new unit is synchronous, effective and stable.
Thereby completing the legal framework, implementing policies, stabilizing the organization so that FPT Telecom officers and employees can continue to contribute and strive to excellently complete production and business tasks.
