On August 4, the Military Region 7 Command held an inauguration ceremony for the Military Region Command building, which is a key project to celebrate the 11th Congress of the Military Region 7 Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, 80 years of the successful August Revolution, 80 years of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and 80 years of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were former President Nguyen Minh Triet; former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam; Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don - former Deputy Minister of National Defense.
On the side of the leaders of Military Region 7, there was Major General Le Xuan The - Commander of Military Region 7; Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc - Political Commissar of Military Region 7; Major General Tran Chi Tam - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7...
The project includes the main items: Military Region Command House and the workplace of the General Staff; Political Department Office; Office of Logistics - Engineering Department; along with a synchronous technical infrastructure system, fully meeting all functional areas.
After nearly 2 years of implementation, by the end of July 2025, the project was completed ahead of schedule, ensuring modernity, aesthetics, space-appropriateness and characteristics of the armed forces of Military Region 7.
At the inauguration ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, highly appreciated the efforts of Military Region 7 in planning, supervising, and managing the quality of works, promoting the spirit of self-reliance, building a disciplined, green, clean, and beautiful landscape. Consulting and construction units, the Project Management Board and the team of engineers and workers have actively contributed to the success of the project.
Senior General Nguyen Truong Thang suggested that Military Region 7 increase training, improve the level of operation, preservation and exploitation of works effectively, safely, economically, ensuring consistency and regularity in use.
At the ceremony, the Military Region Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 collectives and 40 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the task of building the Military Region Command.
