Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh shared the difficulties and problems of the Ministry, especially the issue of perfecting the organizational apparatus related to the function of state management of ethnic groups and religions.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the leaders of the Ministry continue to specify and organize the implementation of directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Party, Government, and National Assembly; decisions and directives and administrative documents of the Prime Minister related to ethnic and religious work.
Focus on directing and organizing the development of projects assigned in the 2025 work program, ensuring progress and quality. Review and evaluate the impact of legal documents on ethnic groups, beliefs and religions to promptly amend or advise competent authorities to amend them according to regulations.
Organize the implementation of tasks and solutions for cultural and social development; implement social security policies for ethnic minorities and religious minorities; do not let hot spots and complications occur in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and religious minority areas.
Timely resolve or advise competent authorities to resolve difficulties and problems in implementing ethnic and religious policies in the locality.

Continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people of all faiths to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on beliefs and religions.
Closely coordinate and support the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to host the 2025 United Nations Vesak in Vietnam. The Government will assign ministries, branches and localities according to their functions and tasks to support the organization, ensure safety and security, and ensure the significance of the event.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry needs to organize drastic and effective implementation, speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of public investment capital in 2025, especially investment capital to implement national target programs for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas; programs and policies on ethnic groups and religions.
Regarding recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to coordinate with localities to ensure the structure and number of specialized cadres working in ethnic and religious affairs, especially at the grassroots level in accordance with the Prime Minister's conclusion at the Conference "Ensuring security and order to serve the socio-economic development of the Northwest and surrounding areas".
Regarding the policy and orientation on determining the composition of ethnic minorities in Vietnam, the Ministry has reported to the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Deputy Prime Minister to propose to the Ministry to continue implementing and proposing to competent authorities for consideration.
Regarding the National Target Program for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry to review and preside over working with ministries and branches to agree on opinions and complete the submission in March.
