From the Oil Rig, ships directly towards the 14th Party Congress
These days, at DK1/10 Oil Rig (Navy Region 2), training and combat readiness are deployed synchronously and seriously. Officers and soldiers closely organize the protection of the Oil Rig; practice handling situations in the air and at sea; fire and explosion prevention, rescue, and handling plans when foreign ships violate the managed sea area.
On-duty guarding, radar, observation, and information modes are always maintained smoothly, ensuring flexible handling, in accordance with the law, and not being passive or surprised in any situation.
As one of the young soldiers working on DK1/10 rig, Sergeant Nguyen Pham Nhat Khuong shared that being tasked at the forefront of the storms of the Fatherland is a great honor. "In the days when the entire Party and people are heading towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, I feel even more proud of the work I am doing. Although living and working conditions are still difficult, my teammates and I always encourage each other to try our best, determined to complete the task well, contributing to maintaining the peace of the Fatherland's sea area," Sergeant Khuong said.
Captain Nguyen Thanh Khiem - Commander of DK1/8 Oil Rig (Navy Region 2) - said that determining that ensuring absolute safety during the 14th Party Congress is an important political task, officers and soldiers of the Oil Rig have strictly grasped the orders, directives, and resolutions of superiors. Plans are fully developed, plans are trained proficiently, the on-duty system is maintained closely, and closely coordinated with on-duty ships to be ready to handle all situations at sea.
On long-day duty ships, the spirit of responsibility is also clearly shown. Officers and soldiers of Ship 953 (Brigade 167, Naval Region 2) are strengthening patrols and observations, proactively detecting targets early, ensuring absolute safety in the process of performing tasks.
Captain Le Thanh Hiep - Captain of Ship 953 - said that during long-day duty trips at sea, both to celebrate the 14th Party Congress and to perform the task of Tet Nguyen Dan, the entire ship always clearly defines responsibilities, upholds the determination to firmly protect sea and island sovereignty, so that people across the country can feel secure to celebrate spring and welcome Tet.
Firm belief in the Party amidst the vast ocean of the Fatherland
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hieu - Secretary of the Party Cell, Political Commissar of DK1/16 rig said - looking towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, this is also an opportunity for officers and soldiers on DK1 rigs to look back at the glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam, thereby gaining more firm belief in the leadership role of the Party in the cause of national defense. The Party's resolutions and directives are thoroughly grasped and concretized by daily actions, closely linked to the political tasks of each unit.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hieu in the open sea, the leadership role of the Party cell is of particular importance. "We always determine that if the Party cell is strong, the unit is strong. When the ideology is clear, cadres and soldiers are united, no matter what the circumstances, they will successfully complete the assigned tasks," Lieutenant Colonel Hieu emphasized.
