On July 1, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Can Tho City issued a Resolution appointing 12 individuals to hold the position of members of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, term 2021 - 2026. These are key leaders from the city's departments and professional branches.
The list of 12 members of the Can Tho City People's Committee includes:
1. Mr. Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of the City Police.
2. Mr. Huynh Van Hung - Commander of the City Military Command.
3. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung - Chief of Office of the City People's Committee.
4. Mr. Mai Van Tan - Director of the Department of Construction.
5. Mr. Ngo Thai Chan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
6. Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
7. Mr. Nguyen Van Bay - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
8. Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong - Director of the Department of Health.
9. Mr. Nguyen Van Quan - Director of the Department of Justice.
10. Mr. Lam Hoang Mau - Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
11. Mr. Ha Vu Son - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.
12. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy - Chief Inspector of the city.

On the same morning, at the first session of the 10th term of the Can Tho City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, the delegates approved a Resolution to establish 14 specialized agencies under the City People's Committee. Including the Department of Home Affairs; Department of Justice; Department of Finance; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Construction; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Education and Training; Department of Health; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Department of Foreign Affairs; Office of the City People's Committee and City Inspectorate.
The departments were established on the basis of merging from specialized units under the People's Committees of Can Tho City, Soc Trang Province and Hau Giang Province, aiming to streamline units, increase operational efficiency and work coordination.
