At the first session of the People's Council of Can Tho City, term X, 2021 - 2026, the delegates passed a Resolution approving the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in public service units with regular expenditures guaranteed by the state budget and self-guaranteeing a part of regular expenditures in 2025 of the new Can Tho City.
Accordingly, the total number of approved employees is 52,404 people, including 51,119 assigned targets (including 50,262 official targets, 857 targets waiting for recruitment) and 1,285 targets on the roadmap for recruitment, implementing the city's general payroll reduction.
At the same time, it proposed to cut 312 people working at mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State. This group of subjects is classified by the locality into a separate group, not included in the total number of people working with salaries from the state budget assigned by the Central Organizing Committee in 2025.
