On May 7, the People's Committee of Can Tho City (City) issued an official dispatch on reviewing legal documents related to the arrangement and organization of local government at two levels.

Accordingly, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the Director of the City Police Department, the Head of the Military Command of the City, the head of the specialized agency under the City People's Committee, the Head of the Management Board of the Export Processing and Industrial Zones in Can Tho, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the district, based on the functions, tasks and powers that were assigned, actively reviewed and implemented the legal documents with the legal documents of the People's Council, the People's Council of the People's Council, the People's Council of the People's Council, the People's Council of the People's Council, the People's Council of the People's Council, the People's Council of the People's Council (the People's Council). of superior state agencies promulgated to ensure the plan of organizing two -level local government and documents of superior state agencies.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City also assigned the Director of the Department of Justice to advise the People's Committee of the City to monitor, urge, guide the review and handling of legal documents to ensure progress, quality and compliance with legal regulations.
On April 25, the People's Council of Can Tho City met to approve the Resolution on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City in 2025. Accordingly, the policy of arranging and merging 80 commune-level administrative units of Can Tho city was agreed to establish 32 commune-level administrative units, including 16 wards and 16 communes.
