At the meeting, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the good cooperative relationship between the two localities in recent times.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan informed: After the merger, Lao Cai province has increased its area and population. The whole province has 99 commune-level administrative units, of which 7 communes and wards are adjacent to Ha Khau district. This is a favorable condition for the two sides to continue expanding cooperation, especially in the field of border economic zones.
The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee proposed to establish a working group to coordinate between the two sides to facilitate the connection between Lao Cai province and Ha Khau district. At the same time, they discussed a number of important projects such as: Accelerating the construction progress of Ban Vuoc - Ba Sai bridge; preparing conditions to start construction of the Con Minh - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line expected by the end of this year...
On the occasion of preparing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan hoped that the two localities would enhance exchange activities, promote economic connectivity and trade.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Dang Thuy, Head of the People's Government of Ha Khau district, expressed her honor to visit and work in Lao Cai province after the merger and pledged that the Ha Khau district government will continue to closely coordinate, promote trade promotion, especially in agricultural import-export activities and develop smart border gates with Lao Cai province.
After the talks, the delegation of Ha Khau district conducted a field survey in the Southern Industrial Park - one of the driving forces that is strongly attracting foreign investors, especially Chinese enterprises, to the fields of production, processing, logistics and clean energy of Lao Cai province.
On the same afternoon, the delegation of Ha Khau district will continue to visit the Lao Cai border gate economic zone and hold talks with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board on implementing unmanned transportation at smart border gates; research and development of the cross-border Economic Cooperation Project and survey of Babeeni Company and Shanghai Textile and Garment Decoration Company at Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, Lao Cai ward.
