VNA reported that on the evening of August 4 (local time), on the occasion of a state visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Egypt.
Reporting to the President and the working delegation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Huy Dung said that the Vietnamese community living and studying not much with only about 70 people, but is a close, united, mutually affectionate collective, always heartbroken towards the homeland and country.
Representatives of the Vietnamese community in Egypt expressed their joy and honor to welcome President Luong Cuong and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to visit Egypt.
The people said that even though they live far away, the Fatherland still regularly monitors the situation in the country, is happy with the country's achievements in recent years; affirms that they always keep the traditions and cultural features of the Vietnamese people, help each other stabilize their lives, contribute to the host country and the relationship between Vietnam and Egypt.
The President welcomed the Vietnamese community in Egypt for their solidarity, respect and compliance with Egyptian law, receiving the sympathy of the local government and people; always turning to their homeland and country; and highly appreciated the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt for its attention and good work for overseas Vietnamese, helping people integrate well into the host society.
Informing about the visit of the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Egypt this time, the President emphasized that the visit aims to promote, deepen and elevate the bilateral relationship; expand cooperation areas and create a new development stage for bilateral relations.
Informing the Vietnamese community in Egypt about the domestic situation, the President said that after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi, Vietnam is confidently entering a new era, an era of strong and prosperous development of the nation, striving to become a developing country with modern industry, high average income by 2030, and by 2045, becoming a developed country, high income.
In recent times, the Party and the State have issued many strategic decisions, important of which are breakthroughs. The entire political system of Vietnam has carried out a revolution in streamlining the apparatus; The Politburo issued 4 resolutions of a breakthrough in the "four pillars" strategy, bringing our country forward in the new era.
The President believes that the people will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, join hands to build a developed community, be strong, comply with the law and integrate well into the host society, actively contribute to the development of Egypt as well as the friendly relationship between the two countries; at the same time, preserve the Vietnamese language and traditional culture of the nation, pass on to future generations.
