On the evening of October 25, in Hanoi, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong chaired a solemn reception for delegations attending the Opening Ceremony and the High-level Conference of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention).
Speaking at the reception, President Luong Cuong warmly welcomed leaders, heads of delegations of member countries and international organizations who came to Vietnam to attend the Opening Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime and had a busy but meaningful working day.
The President said that when coming to Hanoi, the capital of a thousand centuries of culture, the delegates will feel the intersection between tradition and modernity, between the lasting value of history and the dynamic life of the times. Hanoi today carries the vitality of innovation and aspiration to rise in the digital age.
The President emphasized that with the memorable moments of the Opening Ceremony, the Hanoi Convention has become a new milestone in the integration journey of Vietnam and Hanoi itself, where the past is preserved, the present is connected and the future is opened up with technology and knowledge.
Pointing out that today, when the world is connected by billions of communication lines, trust is still the strongest " wireless signal" connecting everything, the President believes that behind all efforts to negotiate, surpassing all legal provisions, the most valuable thing is sincerity, trust and friendship.
The President affirmed that it is these values that have brought delegates and distinguished guests to Hanoi today, to jointly write a story of a sustainable, safe and humane digital future; together opening a new chapter of cooperation, where commitments are transformed into action and trust is continued with concrete steps, so that the Convention can soon come into life.
