At the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong presided over the state-level welcoming ceremony for President Cyril Ramaphosa.
This is the first visit of a South African head to Vietnam in nearly 20 years, a historic milestone, contributing to promoting the deepening and substantial level of bilateral relations.

A large number of children of the capital were present at the Presidential Palace waving flags of the two countries to welcome President Cyril Ramaphosa and the high-ranking delegation of South Africa.

Representatives of the children of the capital came to present the South African President with a bouquet of fresh flowers.
In the welcoming music, President Luong Cuong and President Cyril Ramaphosa walked along the red carpet to the podium of honor.
After listening to the national anthems of the two countries, President Luong Cuong and President Cyril Ramaphosa left the podium, bowed to the military flag and approved the Honor Guard of the Vietnam People's Army.
Next, the two leaders introduced the members of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries attending the welcoming ceremony.
After the welcoming ceremony, President Luong Cuong and President Cyril Ramaphosa had a small meeting and then led the high-ranking delegations of the two countries to hold talks, evaluate the cooperation results between the two countries in recent times and propose cooperation directions in the coming time.
