On December 22, the Government Portal reported that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2768/QD-TTg dated December 20, 2025 to transfer Mr. Le Manh Hung - Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group to work at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, assigning the Acting Minister of Industry and Trade.
Mr. Le Manh Hung was born on October 24, 1973; hometown Hung Yen. Education and professional qualifications: Petrochemical Organic Technology Engineer, PhD in Petrochemistry; Senior Political Theory.
Before being assigned as Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Le Manh Hung held many important positions at the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (now the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group) such as: Deputy General Director of PVN, General Director of PVN, Chairman of PVN Board of Members and leadership positions at subsidiaries.
Previously, on December 21, the National Assembly Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work for Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien.
The Politburo decided that Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Government Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade - would cease to hold the position of Member of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mobilize, assign and appoint to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of full-time Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
