The People's Committee of Da Nang City is committed to completing 100% of house repairs before December 31, 2025 and completing 100% of new house construction before January 31, 2026, ensuring people soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City - informed that after the "fast-paced" campaign, the Front and all levels of the city's government focused on solving the problem of long-term population stability, preparing for the next severe rainy season.
In Quang Tri, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to overcome the consequences of natural disasters in Khe Sanh commune on December 15. Military Region 4 has sent leaders and specialized units to be directly present at the site to direct and support the province during the construction process.
The Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee assigns the Provincial Party Secretary and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct daily. The Provincial People's Committee also arranged a Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of relevant departments, branches and Khe Sanh commune authorities, to be on duty at the scene regularly, promptly resolving arising difficulties.

In Quang Ngai, "Quang Trung Campaign" was also implemented with a spirit of speed and determination. To date, the whole province has started construction of 47 new houses and repaired 340 houses damaged by storms and floods. Of these, 9 newly built houses and 300 repaired houses have been completed and handed over to the people for use. Currently, there are 38 newly built houses and 34 houses under urgent construction every day.
In addition, there are 6 houses that cannot be repaired because the owners are working far away, expected to be deployed next week. For houses damaged by less than 30%, people are instructed to proactively repair them to soon stabilize their lives.
Not only in Quang Ngai, the spirit of "Quang Trung Than Phat" also spread to many localities that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods. To carry out the campaign to build houses for people in flooded areas, the armed forces of Quang Ngai province have sent 4 working teams with nearly 70 highly skilled officers and soldiers, along with more than 5,600 officers and soldiers from the entire army to participate in supporting the construction of new 401 houses for people in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.
These days, across the flooded areas, the image of soldiers leaving early and leaving at night, taking advantage of every hour to raise the foundation, build walls, and pour concrete floors to prevent floods has become familiar. The houses are built according to the "3 hard" criteria: hard foundation, hard frame - wall, hard roof, to ensure long-term safety for people.
With the spirit of "Soldiers help the people as if helping their relatives", associated with the motto " Dieu den quan - Dieu den hoa hoa - Dieu den hoa", officers and soldiers overcome difficulties in weather and terrain to ensure continuous and effective construction progress.
Lieutenant Colonel Mai Cong Tho - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command - said: "The unit coordinates with contractors to promptly arrange construction materials, mobilize vehicles and means suitable for the area to transport to each household. Not only building houses, the army also helps people clear sewers, clean the environment, and do a good job of mass mobilization throughout the performance of tasks".
To be on time to hand over the houses before January 31, 2026, the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command regularly monitors and encourages officers and soldiers. In addition to the budget of 170 million VND per house, the unit also called for an additional 100 million VND, contributing 22,000 bricks to help families build the most solid and sturdy houses.
Colonel Vo Tan Tai, Political Commissar of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command, affirmed: Through inspection, the houses under construction are all guaranteed to be technical, with straight walls, sturdy structures, and in accordance with design. More importantly, the sense of responsibility and excitement of officers and soldiers. Where the people need it, there are soldiers; where it is difficult, there are soldiers ready to help the people".
After the storm and flood, among the lands that had suffered a lot of loss, new houses are gradually springing up. It is not only a shelter from the rain and sun, but also a symbol of faith, of sharing and the love between the army and the people. Then, when spring comes, Tet comes more fully for families who were left empty-handed after natural disasters.
In Lam Dong province, the "Quang Trung Campaign" is also being implemented with a spirit of urgency and determination. 54 out of 82 houses damaged by floods have been repaired, helping many households soon stabilize their lives. In November, the whole province had 23 houses completely collapsed and in December, 17 houses collapsed. To date, 35 houses have been started and built.

All have determined the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", working overtime to ensure quality, safety, striving to complete early so that people have a new house to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026.
