At the invitation of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man, Standing Member of the Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China, Head of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (National Congress) of the People's Republic of China Zhao Lusii Le Le led the high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of China to pay an official visit to Vietnam, attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam on September 2 and co-chair the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China from August 31 to September 2.
On the afternoon of August 31, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a solemn welcoming ceremony and held talks with Chief People's Artist of China Zhao Liyee.

Immediately after the talks, the two leaders chaired the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China. This is a new, first, stable, long-term cooperation mechanism between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China.
Through this mechanism, the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China have the opportunity to share experiences in legislative work, supervision and decision-making on important national issues; discuss areas of cooperation of mutual interest and coordination at regional and international parliamentary forums, thereby contributing to the peace, stability and development of each country, the region and the world.

According to the People's Delegation Newspaper, in the first session, the Committee focused on discussing a number of topics of mutual concern, including: Sharing legislative experience on ensuring national security; legislative and supervisory work to promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation; legislative and supervisory work to promote cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation.

This is the first official visit to Vietnam by Comrade Zhao Lusi as a member of the National People's Artist Committee of China and the second visit of a key Chinese leader to Vietnam in 2025, following the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping (April 2025), demonstrating the special affection and great importance of the Party and State of China for Vietnam-China relations as well as Vietnam's revolutionary cause.
