The working trip took place from August 31 to September 1 at the invitation of the Government of the People's Republic of China.

The 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit is expected to be held in Tianjin (China); with the participation of more than 20 leaders of countries including 10 official members of the SCO such as General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping; Russian President Vladimir Putin; Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi... and observers and partners; along with a number of countries attending as guests of the host country and leaders of a number of international organizations.
The invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the SCO Summit as a guest of the host country shows that the SCO countries attach importance to the role and position of Vietnam, and want to listen to Vietnam's views and voices on security, politics, and development issues of the region and the world.
The conference is also an opportunity for Vietnam to share and discuss specific measures to strengthen dialogue cooperation, enhance multilateralism to maintain, ensure regional stability and security as well as promote sustainable development cooperation.
During the working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with leaders, ministries, branches and enterprises of China to continue to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance, especially promoting substantive areas of cooperation in economy - trade - investment, major projects on strategic infrastructure development.
