At noon on August 31, Standing Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Head of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Zhao Lusi, led a high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of China to Hanoi, paid an official visit to Vietnam, attended the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam on September 2 and co-chaired the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China.
The visit took place from August 31 to September 2, at the invitation of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man.
Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong; Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Dang Khanh Toan; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan; Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and External Affairs Don Tuan Phong.
