Before the session began, delegates and children observed a minute of silence to commemorate compatriots, soldiers and children who died due to storms and floods.

The mock session of the Children's National Assembly is held to effectively implement the 2016 Law on Children and to specify the national action program for children for the 2021-2030 period.

This is also one of the specific tasks and solutions in effectively implementing the Project "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) promotes children's participation in children's issues for the period 2023-2027".

The mock session of the “Children’s Parliament” is a forum for children to express their voices, thoughts and aspirations; at the same time, practice political activities to foster dreams and build great ambitions for children, the future owners of the country.

At the same time, it demonstrates the concern of Party, State, National Assembly and social leaders for children and the work of protecting, caring for and educating children.

This is also a new model of activity that promotes children's right to participate in child-related issues in accordance with children's psychology and abilities, creating conditions for children to develop their capacity and skills to present opinions, views, perceptions and participate in the decision-making process on child-related issues.

The activity helps children experience and learn about the highest state power apparatus, the National Assembly, continuing to affirm the attention of Party, State and National Assembly leaders to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, promoting the role of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as an organization representing the voice and aspirations of children.

In addition, at the question and answer session, the hypothetical child National Assembly deputies participated in expressing their opinions, raising the wishes and aspirations of local child voters on two issues: "Prevention of school violence" and "Prevention of harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment", clarifying issues of concern to "child voters" nationwide.

The question and answer session had 268 delegates registered to question, of which 138 child National Assembly delegates registered to speak on the issue of "Prevention and control of school violence", 130 child National Assembly delegates registered to speak on the issue of "Prevention and control of the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment".

Accordingly, 15 delegates exercised their right to question, including 11 delegates questioning and 4 delegates debating.

After the questioning session of the National Assembly's children's delegates, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan spoke and discussed with the National Assembly's children's delegates about two topics of the session.
