On the afternoon of September 28, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presided over the official welcoming ceremony for Chairman of the National Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin and the High-ranking Delegation of the Russian Federation.
Also attending the welcoming ceremony were: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh - Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Parliamentarians' Group; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh; Chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee, Senior Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi; Chairman of the Lam Van Man Ethnic Council; Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang; Assistant Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Hoang Hai.
This is the third visit to Vietnam by Chairman of the National Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin in his capacity as Chairman of the National Duma of the Russian Federation.
The visit took place in the context of the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries with high political trust being strongly promoted through all channels of the Party, Government and National Assembly. The leaders of the two countries maintain mutual visits, meetings and participation in multilateral events hosted by each country.
