In the solemn and warm atmosphere of the camp night, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts, visited and sent wishes to 120 young people who were selected for military service and People's Police service in 2026 in the commune.
This year, Dong Thanh commune completed 100% of the military assignment target with 120 young people matriculated; of which, 100 young people participated in military service and 20 young people performed the duty of People's Police.
Notably, 2 young party members and 1 young woman volunteered to enlist, showing the pioneering spirit and responsibility of local youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Mau Phuong Quynh - Chairwoman of Dong Thanh Commune People's Committee sent wishes for young people to be healthy, maintain their bravery and will, and excellently complete the tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people.
Ms. Nguyen Mau Phuong Quynh expressed her belief that the 120 new recruits present at the camp will continue to write the glorious tradition of previous generations. She hopes that young people will strive to study, train, quickly adapt to a disciplined environment, master modern equipment and equipment to become good soldiers, contributing to firmly protecting the Fatherland's sovereignty.
On behalf of 120 enlisted youths, young soldier Le Nguyen Thanh Nam expressed his determination to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, strive to study, train, and promote the spirit of responsibility of party members, union members, and youth in building a comprehensively strong unit. At the same time, accumulate experience and bravery so that after completing their duties and returning, they can continue to contribute to building their homeland to become more and more developed.
In 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will have about 9,100 citizens enlisting; of which, 7,300 citizens will perform military service and about 1,800 citizens will perform the duty of People's Police.
