The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a decision on the establishment of a Steering Committee to adjust the Bac Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan to 2050, with a vision to 2075.
Accordingly, the Steering Committee includes:
1. Head of the Committee: Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
2. The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Mr. Pham Van Thinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will take on the duties of Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee.
The Director of the Department of Finance assumes the duties of Deputy Head of the Department.
The Director of the Department of Construction assumes the duties of Deputy Head of the Department.
3. Members: Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Director of the Department of Health, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Director of the Department of Justice, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Chief Inspector of the province, Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, Head of the Provincial Statistics Office, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office in charge of Provincial Planning and General Urban Planning, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Luong Van Nghiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Nguyen Ngoc Son.
The function and task of the Steering Committee is to direct the process of organizing the adjustment of the Bac Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the establishment of the Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan to 2050, with a vision to 2075; promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on any problems or beyond their authority.
At the same time, perform other tasks as required by the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
After the merger, Bac Ninh province has a total of 99 communes and wards, with a natural area of 4,718.6 km2; population of 3,619,433 people.
The locality aims to become a centrally-governed city by 2030.
