On the morning of August 4, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc inspected and surveyed the Public Administration Service Center of Ba Ria Ward (old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area). Also attending was Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Ba Ria ward was established from the merger of Phuoc Trung, Phuoc Nguyen, Phuoc Hung and Long Toan wards (under the old Ba Ria city), with an area of about 15.5 km2 and a population of more than 52,000 people. The Ward Public Administration Service Center is located at 221 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street.
According to the report, from July 1 to now, the Ba Ria Ward Public Administration Service Center has received 1,288 records (including 1,135 online records; 153 direct records, postal services). As a result, 1,046 records were resolved ahead of schedule, with no overdue records.
However, although the staff has made great efforts, there are still some difficulties and problems such as: the application receiving software sometimes has errors that affect progress; some information needs to be operated manually... and other limitations.
At the survey, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc discussed with officials in the department of receiving and handling administrative procedures on the process of receiving and handling documents for people after the merger of administrative units. After the inspection, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc continued to have a working session with Ba Ria ward and 29 communes, wards, and special zones (belonging to the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau) on the operation situation after the organizational arrangement and handling of recommendations of localities.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc commended and rewarded Mr. Cao Thanh Dat (26 years old) for his achievement in saving a girl who drowned in a swimming pool.
