At the invitation of President Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, General Secretary To Lam and Lady and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam had a very successful business trip, achieved many good results to the Republic of the Republic Azerbaijan, Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus from December 5.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, in addition to opening a new chapter for cooperation with traditional friends of the former Soviet Union, the working trip of General Secretary To Lam not only strengthens but also renews and repositions relations with countries on the foundation of long-standing friendship that has been nurtured through generations of leaders and people of Vietnam and other countries.
The visit is also a special occasion for us to convey the message of faithful emotions, before and after as a Party, State and people of Vietnam to other countries who have wholeheartedly supporting the cause of national struggle, national liberation and reunification as well as the construction and development of Vietnam today.
Senior leaders and people of all countries have given General Secretary To Lam, his wife and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam sincere affection, warm and respectful reception with many exceptions.
With more than 80 intense and rich activities during the past 8 days in 4 countries, General Secretary To Lam had talks and meetings with senior leaders of countries, meetings and exchanges with political parties, sectors, businesses, visits to a number of economic and cultural institutions, and meetings with Vietnamese communities in other countries.
The General Secretary also attended the 80th anniversary of the victory of the great national defense war in Russia and the 80th anniversary of the fascist victory in Kazakhstan, thereby showing the respect and honor of Vietnam for the great sacrifices and losses of the former Soviet countries in the war against fascism, ending world wars and opening a new history of the national revolutionary movement.
Leaders of departments, ministries, branches and localities participating in the delegation also had effective meetings and exchanges with partners in areas of cooperation.
"During the working trip, Vietnam and Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation and Belarus also signed about 60 cooperation agreements between ministries, branches and enterprises in fields such as diplomacy, security - defense, science - technology, energy, education - training, aviation, etc., creating an important legal framework for relations between Vietnam and other countries to become more in-depth, practical and effective" - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son shared.
On the occasion of attending the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic Defense War, General Secretary To Lam also had meetings with heads of state and leaders of countries to discuss priorities in developing relations. Leaders of countries congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification as well as Vietnam's development achievements in all aspects.
