On the evening of May 12 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left Minsk airport, Minsk (Belarus), and returned home, successfully concluding their state visit to the Republic of Belarus, at the invitation of President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, VNA reported.
At the airport, on theBelarus side, there were Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak; Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov; Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou; on the Vietnamese side, there were: Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Ngu; officials and staff of the Embassy and a large Vietnamese community in Belarus.
In the framework of the visit to Belarus from 11-12.5, General Secretary To Lam and President Aleksandr Lukashenko led the high-ranking delegation of the two countries to conduct talks; witnessing the ceremony to award cooperation agreements; Speaking to the press to inform the results of the talks; Meeting with Prime Minister Belarus Aleksandr Turchin, Senate President Natalia Kochanova and Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko and the Belarus political parties; Attending the Vietnam Business Forum - Belarus; Visit the tractor factory.
On this occasion, President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the Belarus Ethnic Friendship Medal to General Secretary To Lam.
With firm confidence in the good future of bilateral relations, the two sides have adopted a Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam - Belarus Strategic Partnership, creating a foundation for bringing bilateral relations to new heights, for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
Also during the visit, General Secretary To Lam met with the Belarus Foreign Friendship and Cultural Exchange Association, the Belarus - Vietnam Friendship Association and former Belarusese experts who have helped Vietnam.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, had a meeting with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus, representatives of the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Belarus.
General Secretary To Lam's state visit to Belarus this time is very important, not only strengthening and enhancing political trust between Vietnam and traditional friends, but also conveying Vietnam's message and determination to continuously strengthen the traditional friendship and relations with countries of the former Soviet Union, including Belarus.
