This morning (December 26), in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech directing the 80th National Public Security Conference and summarizing 40 years of Public Security work serving the country's innovation cause.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, expressed gratitude and commended the contributions, dedication and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Force (PPP) and congratulated the great achievements of the PPP in 2024.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Public Security Forces uphold the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", ready to be pioneers "on every frontline, anywhere, doing anything, in any circumstance", working hard and silently to excellently complete assigned tasks with many truly outstanding marks, making great and important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the country.
The Prime Minister requested that the National Public Security Conference focus on discussing and proposing major strategies, solutions, and policies on ensuring security and order, building a regular, elite, and modern Public Security force in the coming time, contributing to deciding the future victory of the country... At the same time, he emphasized a number of key tasks:
Grasp and closely follow strategic areas, subjects and partners, perform well the role of advising and proposing to the Party and State in all fields; contribute to maintaining political stability, serving economic development, ensuring social order and safety, expanding foreign relations, creating a peaceful, secure and stable environment for development.
Proactively combat and prevent plots and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces; synchronously deploy all aspects of work to ensure internal political security; absolutely protect the security and safety of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Regularly and proactively attack and suppress all types of crime; especially economic, corruption, waste, drug, financial, environmental, and high-tech crimes. In addition, it is necessary to create a secure, safe, and healthy environment for economic and social development...
Strongly promote the movement of the entire people to protect national security, associated with effectively implementing the work of ensuring social security in remote, border and island areas.
Continue to play the role of “pioneer, leader, role model, and leader” in innovation, creativity, and national digital transformation. Develop the security industry, build strong enterprises of the Public Security sector.
Continue to promote the pioneering role in foreign affairs, to maintain national security early and from afar; enhance Vietnam's contribution to maintaining world peace. Continue to maintain the spirit of solidarity, unity, and unity, and be exemplary in leading the way in Party building and rectification.
The police take the lead in exemplary and effective implementation of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on promoting the building of a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern police force and Resolution No. 18 of the Central Committee to innovate and reorganize the police apparatus of units and localities to be lean, strong, and operate effectively and efficiently.
Successfully organize party congresses at all levels in the People's Public Security, do a good job of public security personnel participating in Party committees at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security of Vietnam and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection in a practical, effective, economical, and memorable manner.
