On the morning of December 26, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech directing the 80th National Public Security Conference and summarizing 40 years of Public Security work serving the country's innovation cause.
General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security - chaired the conference.
Also attending the conference were General Le Hong Anh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing member of the Secretariat, former Minister of Public Security; members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, departments, ministries, branches, central and local agencies.
According to the Government Portal, the conference will take place from December 26 to 27 with many new and important contents on:
First, the situation and results of public security work in 2024, key tasks in 2025.
Second, the 80th anniversary of the National Public Security Conference.
Third, summarizing 40 years of Public Security work serving the country's innovation cause.
Fourth, the results of implementing Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern people's public security force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The conference will disseminate and solicit opinions from local and unit police on the "Project to continue to arrange and streamline the organization of the local police apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently to meet requirements and tasks in the new situation".
The conference will summarize the emulation movement "For National Security" in 2024, announce and award prizes, and launch the emulation movement "For National Security" in 2025 in the entire people's public security force.
