Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Minister Luong Tam Quang stated: In 2024, in addition to very basic opportunities and advantages, the world and regional political, economic and security situation will have many rapid, complicated and unpredictable developments, posing many difficulties, challenges and great pressure on the task of ensuring security and order (SOC).
Under the leadership and direction of the Party and State, the close coordination and collaboration of ministries, departments, branches and localities, the support and assistance of all classes of people and international friends, the People's Public Security Force (PPP) has closely followed the leadership of the Party, the management and operation of the Government, and strived to successfully complete the set goals and tasks.
2025 is a year of special importance - the final year to "finish" the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the National Assembly on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2020 - 2025 and the Resolution of the 7th Central Party Congress of the Public Security.
Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the 80th National Public Security Conference is an important milestone, affirming the process of building, fighting and growing of the Public Security force; not only to fully, comprehensively and deeply assess the situation and results of work in 2024 and review 40 years of public security work serving the cause of national renewal; 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo; On advantages, shortcomings, limitations, causes of shortcomings, limitations and drawing lessons; thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry's Directive on public security tasks in 2025.
From there, discuss solutions for the Public Security force to carry out the key breakthrough tasks of "Absolutely protecting the security and safety of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels in the People's Public Security and the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress;
Take the lead in implementing the Party's policies, continue to streamline the organization of the Public Security apparatus at all levels, develop science and technology, innovate, transform the country digitally, prevent waste and combat environmental pollution;
Mobilize resources to modernize the infrastructure of the People's Public Security Forces by 2030, prioritize investment in 6 forces to move straight to modernity by 2025, strengthen the base, and create comprehensive changes in security and order at the grassroots level.
