At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 80 years of glorious and heroic history of the People's Public Security force in general and the Hai Phong City Police in particular.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, expressed his admiration and deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security; warmly commend and acknowledge the achievements and feats of the Hai Phong City Police over the past 80 years. The City Party Secretary believes that the Party Committee and the City Police force will inherit tradition, promote the combined strength to build a clean and strong force; truly become a sharp "safe haven" of the Party Committee, government and people of the city.
On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented the Second Class Military Exploit Order to Hai Phong Police. Hai Phong City presented the City Police with the words "Hai Phong City Police promotes the tradition of the People's Armed Forces Heroic Unit, Pioneer - Exemplary - Leading - regular - Righth - Modern, for the peace of the city, for the happiness of the people"; awarded the Second and Third Class Medals for 6 collectives and individuals.
