On Sunday (March 15), voters nationwide will participate in the election of National Assembly (NA) deputies of the 16th term and People's Council (PC) deputies at all levels for the term 2026 - 2031.
According to the National Election Council (Council), voting starts from 7 am and ends at 7 pm on the same day. Depending on the actual situation in the locality, the Election Team may decide to start voting earlier but not before 5 am or end later but not later than 9 pm on the same day.
On election day, members of the Election Team must arrive early to check the preparation work, ensuring the opening time is on schedule. After fully checking the necessary conditions, the Election Team will organize the opening ceremony and conduct voting.
When voting begins, the Election Team invites voters named in the voter list who are Party committee leaders, local authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, people with meritorious services to the revolution, religious dignitaries (if any) and voters who are the oldest people... to vote first.
Voting is conducted continuously. The election team must regularly notify and guide voters to properly implement the provisions of the law on elections, election regulations, and voting room regulations; guide voters on how to vote and draw ballots; urge voters to actively exercise the voting rights and obligations of citizens.
While conducting voting, if any unusual situation occurs that disrupts the voting session, the Head of the Election Team and members of the Election Team must quickly convene to promptly handle it.
In case it exceeds their authority or cannot be handled on their own, the voting must be temporarily suspended, the Election Team must seal and strictly manage ballot boxes, ballots and other related documents. They must report to the Election Commission to have a solution, and at the same time have necessary measures to continue the voting process.
Another important thing is that the Election Team must pay attention to stamping "Voted" on the front, top, left corner of the Voter Card when voters finish voting.
During the voting process, members of the Election Team must be kind, polite, and guide voters to participate in voting wholeheartedly and thoughtfully.
Members of the Election Team assigned to perform each task on election day must proactively perform assigned tasks and support other members to complete common tasks.
The election team is not allowed to let incompetent people (except voters) into the polling station. No one is allowed to bring weapons, explosives, flammable objects... into the polling area, polling station.
After the voting time according to regulations expires, the Head of the Election Team announces the end of voting. At this time, the Election Team is allowed to open the ballot box to count votes. The vote counting must be carried out according to the provisions of Article 24 of Circular No. 21/2025/TT-BNV of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Next, the Head of the Election Team assigned members in the team to form groups to carry out the vote counting. The Election Team Secretary proceeded to make minutes of the vote counting results.
